Regulations
  • A recent updated card is required to enter the library.
  • Borrowers’ cards are not transferable.
  • It is your responsibility to keep track of items checked out to you. Visit My Library Record
  • Do not check out items for other users and avoid giving loans to them to return.
  • All e-mail addresses must be current – we send notices regarding checked out items/return dates to all patrons.
  • Users are liable for stolen, lost and damaged material checked out to them.
  • Lost library cards must be reported to the Circulation desk immediately.
  • Library users’ cards only available at Client Service Centre (@R50 per card) – only operating during office hours.
  • Unauthorised removal of any Library material or equipment from the library will be treated as a disciplinary offence.
  • Ethical and professional conduct regarding library services and facilities.
  • Please refrain from making noise.
  • Silence should be observed in the library and in any area not specifically designated as discussion areas.
  • Cell phone calls are not permitted in the library.
  • Verbal abuse of library personnel or security services will not be tolerated.
  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the library. Only closed water bottles are permitted.
  • No stationery is available in the library. Please make sure that you bring your own.
