| Embargo |
| |
Due
to publisher's restriction on a specific journal, our
clients may not have access to the full text of
recent issues. This embargo is also called a
holding period or a moving wall. The publisher
determines the holding period of this embargo. It could be any
period of time - normally between two weeks and two years.
|
Example: |
Journal of Adhesion Science and Technology
Academic
Search Premier 1999 to present (Embargo: 6
months)
This indicates that we have
access to this title from 1999 to exactly 6 months before
present date. In other words: it is a temporary
delay. Issues of this journal published more than six months
ago (but not before 1999) will be available to our users.
|
Please note that only a very
small percentage of all our titles come with an embargo. Most
of the titles are not restricted.

Wikipedia, and seach for:

ISSN |
| |
|
| |
The
ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) is unique
8- digit number assigned to a periodical. It consists
of 2 sets of four digits, separated by a hyphen, i.e.
0368-2040 or 0362-541X.
A periodical could have two different ISSN numbers:
one for the print version and another for online.
ISSN for Serials must not be confused with
ISBN assigned to books(13 digits). |
| |
It is always best to search for a journal using the full
title. The ISSN is a handy second option if you are in
doubt about the exact title. It is possible to search
our A-Z list for an ISSN. |
