| Marketing & Training Event - September 2012 |
The University of Pretoria Library Services will be hosting an e-Strategy marketing & training event during September 2012.
The focus will be on mobile library services.
| The aim of this event is: |
to support the research, teaching and learning needs of students and academics
to support innovative service delivery by library staff
to keep the library on the cutting-edge of new technologies
to improve access to information through the UP Library's 'high tech, high touch scenario
and to create awareness of the Library's e-Strategy through:
- the integration of e-Services with the UP's e-Learning and e-Research environments
- the extension of library services beyond the physical building

- A two-day mini symposium (19-20 September 2012)
- Training workshops on social reporting, tablets, QR codes, repositories, research data management, etc.
- Expert speakers/presenters -- Introduction to different mobile devices.
