Next Generation ScienceDirect
Most of us know about Science Direct, the electronic database platform, that hosts an excellent collection of journals in the field of science. But, nowadays, to be competitive, you must improve your services. That is exactly what Science Direct did by introducing Next Generation ScienceDirect.

Next Generation ScienceDirect offers you:

  • More information on the Backfiles program.
  • Open linking to the world's science literature
  • Search the Web with Scirus, a search engine specifically designed for finding highly relevant scientific information.
  • Cited By - keep track of citations

But, I'm not going to say anything more. Go to Sciencedirect.com directly, or through the Tyds@Tuks website, and work through the demo, to make sure you're informed on all the features.

Animal Health Research Reviews: online
Animal Health Research Reviews provides an international vehicle for the publication of reviews and commentaries on all aspects of animal health. The journal covers both infectious and non-infectious diseases in domestic and wild animals. Articles include in-depth reviews of a specific aspect of a disease or pathogen, and reviews covering all aspects of a disease with new findings, concepts and hypotheses. The journal publishes both solicited and unsolicited articles.

International Veterinary Information Service
The IVIS website has been on-line since August 2000 and has enjoyed a remarkable success. The readership has increased continuously over the past year.
The IVIS is a not-for-profit organisation created to provide clinically relevant, up-to-date information to veterinary practitioners, students, clinicians and researchers.
The IVIS website provides free access to original, electronic reviews, updates, and other books on a wide variety of veterinary topics.
IVIS publications aspire to the same high quality standards as academic textbooks. Editors of e-books are carefully selected and all publications are original contributions written specifically for the IVIS website by contributing authors and reviewed by the editor(s) of the book.

The IVIS library includes the IVIS Recent Advances in Veterinary Medicine Series, IVIS Veterinary Monographs and Classic Texts , Proceedings of Veterinary Organizations and IVIS Continuing Education.

  • In the IVIS Recent Advances Series, each contribution reviews the clinical advances in a specific area of veterinary practice.
  • The IVIS Veterinary Monographs and Classic Texts consist of textbooks covering many aspects of veterinary medicine and classic textbooks otherwise unavailable but of historic and/or academic interest.
  • The IVIS Proceedings Section offers a place to a growing number of professional veterinary organizations to publish proceedings of annual meetings and special symposia on the Internet.
  • The IVIS Continuing Education Section offers manuals of past or future shortcourses and workshops, and links to educational and interactive websites. The IVIS editors and authors are veterinary clinicians and scientists recognized internationally in their areas of speciality and are selected with the advice of the IVIS Editorial Board.
