Books for Africa” is a biannual venture, established in 1993, aimed at distributing textbooks
and journals, of veterinary interest, to veterinary faculties in a number of African countries,
where these commodities are needed.
This project is made possible by the donation of books from
international benefactors, the Academic Information Service of the Faculty of Veterinary Science,
Onderstepoort as well as the students who embark on the journey in order to deliver them.
“Books for Africa” is solely reliant on sponsorship and a lot of effort is made to make this
project sustainable, not only this year, but also in the future.

Every sponsor will be acknowledged on the webpage and the project plans to get as much media exposure for the project as
